You will begin on the French Riviera, in the world-famous ports of Monaco, Cannes or St Tropez. And finish at Porto Cervo, the ultimate Italian luxury yachting destination, after travelling south along the exquisite west coast of Corsica. Corsica has over 1000km of coastline – so there is plenty to explore, admire and enjoy!
Begin your luxury 7 Day charter to Corsica and Sardinia in the most glamourous destination in the Mediterranean. If you decide to depart from Cannes, be sure to visit Le Palais, where the famous Cannes Film Festival is held and enjoy a wonderful cocktail in one of the beachside restaurants attached to the formidable hotels.
Departing from St Tropez, at the right time of year you will find yourself surrounded also by the rich and famous jetsetters who frequent this traditional seaside town each year. Step back in time in the charming Old Town of St. Tropez and visit the shuttered streets and rustic chic. You will travel overnight to begin your exploration of Corsica the following day.
This morning you will wake in the delightful port of Calvi. Here you will find a beautiful old citadel, long ramparts and a quaint marina, perfect for perusing the boutiques and stopping for a mid-morning coffee or perhaps some lunch!
This afternoon you can sail to the red rocks of the surrounding Girolata Cove that seem to leap out of a sailor’s dream. In addition to pristine beaches, there are some creative rocky outcrops with a watchtower from the 17th century. It resembles a small castle and overlooks the cove. You may wish to cruise overnight from here to the next destination, Ajaccio in order to make the most of your time!
There are some beautiful long stretches of beaches near Ajaccio and plenty to do ashore, depending on the requirements of your charter. In fact, Napoleon Bonaparte was born here and you can visit his family’s house.
Dinner at L'Arbousier, Le Maquis Hotel, Porticcio. The terrace at this restaurant, in the beachside resort of Le Maquis is a Mediterranean dream. It faces west toward the sea, capturing the sunset, and after dark, glows magically with candles and lamps for a setting that nearly outshines the delicious food they serve.
Visit Propriano and its surrounding villages today. The main street of this quaint town is lined with traditional buildings now largely given over to cafes and designer shops, ideal for a wander before it gets too warm. The renowned village of Campomoro is nearby, with its fine beach and lovely setting, and is always a very popular place with visitors to this region of Corsica and perfect spot to enjoy lunch away from the busier ports.
For a wonderful dinner and a restaurant set into the rocks and looking out over the waves, visit Le Lido for a truly unique flavourful taste of Corsica.
After breakfast, enjoy a cruise to Bonifacio, a striking town perched on limestone cliffs right at the southernmost point of Corsica. You will want to explore the old citadel, and marvel at the medieval houses and the Old Town's labyrinth of streets and buildings. It's a unique, enthralling place to visit and spend the evening.
From here you can explore the wonderful beaches of the south of Corsica and perhaps visit the Îles Lavezzi. These islands make up a granite archipelago in the straits between Corsica and Sardinia, a beautiful nature reserve with teeming marine life, this is the perfect spot to snorkel and enjoy the serenity of the Mediterranean.
Today, you can set off and cruise to La Maddalena's National Park, a beautiful set of protected islands between Corsica and Sardinia. Anchor and stop for lunch for afternoon swimming and water sports. Exquisite views of the National Park and its beautiful granite landscape, moulded over millennia by the wind.
You can visit the island of Caprera, once partly owned by the Italian hero, Garibaldi in his retirement. With rough, cliff faces set against the island’s pine trees, this island’s beauty is breath-taking. You can berth at the harbour of Cala Gavetta, Maddalena’s main port and discover a town with a lively atmosphere and quaint piazzas.
Your last day of sailing, cruise your way to Porto Cervo, a stylish destination and the perfect place to spend your last night. With beautiful coastal views as well as fabulous boutiques and restaurants, soak in the lively atmosphere and wonderful weather for the last time this holiday!
