Montenegro Yacht Charter Types
Primarily, there is a fantastic selection of crewed motor yachts that are perfect for family holidays and summer vacations.
Increasingly the world's newest and largest luxury crewed yachts are cruising the waters of Montenegro and Croatia with itineraries that offer fascinating history, natural beauty, authentic cuisine and captivating sightseeing. Montenegro does not (yet) have the prestige of the French Riviera but it is a fantastic alternative for our clients, who are always thrilled that they chose Montenegro.
Catamarans are perfect for navigating the Adriatic peninsula providing luxury, unrivalled quality for their size and maximum comfort. The extra space, privacy, proximity to the water and lack of "rocking" makes for a fantastic sailing holiday. You will not be disappointed!
If doing things the traditional way is your scene, then taking a stunning sailing yacht around the Montenegrin coastline could be the option for you. Cutting through the waves with elegance and grace, sailing yachts may not be as fast as motor yachts but you're sure to turn heads wherever you visit.
Herceg Novi lies just 30 minutes south of Dubrovnik, making it the ideal place to start your yacht charter. Home to a picturesque marina, Herceg Novi also has a very appealing Old Town with historic squares and captivating architecture. It is also renowned for being a spa and health centre with plenty of mineral water springs and healing mud treatments.
Porto Montenegro lies in the UNESCO protected Bay of Kotor, combining a picturesque destination with a cutting edge marina. You will find the very best luxury yachts berthed here, making full use of the 180m LOA moorings. If you are looking for the latest fashion items and accessories, look no further than all the fabulous boutiques found here. The coastal area around Budva is the most popular area in Montenegro, famous for its white sandy beaches, historical architecture, mouth-watering cuisine and diverse nightlife. The easiest way to reach Budva is by water, perfect for when you arrive in your yacht charter. Close to Budva, Sveti Stefan is one of the hotspots of Montenegro - when you visit this beautiful place you will immediately understand why Sophia Loren, Sylvester Stallone, Queen Elizabeth II and many other celebrities chose Sveti Stefan as their holiday destination. If you are looking for nightlife, Budva has something to offer everyone!
Kotor's historic medieval town combines with the imposing limestone cliffs of Orjen and Lovćen to form one of the most spectacular landscapes in the Mediterranean. With a wealth of history and impressive architecture, Kotor is a fascinating town to explore, with a trip to the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon an essential stop.
Montenegro has a reliable Mediterranean climate, which means it's mainly warm and dry throughout the main yachting season. The warmest months are July and August when the air temperature is around 81F (27C), with very similar water temperatures.
If you are not tied by school holidays, we would highly recommend visiting in June and September. The climate is still very appealing and you have a lot less tourists to compete with. Average temperatures are in the mid 70's F / 20's C. After September, chartering conditions can be less predictable, but you can still have stunning weather.
Boatbookings will work closely with you to fully understand your desires and requirements before proposing the most suitable charter yachts. We will be sure to find you your perfect yacht in Montenegro and surrounding waters for your summer holiday.
